Negrense prides reigning World Boxing Organization Inter-Continental super bantamweight champion Genesis “Azukal” Servania and defending WBO International super flyweight titlist “King” Arthur Villanueva will put their respective belts on the line as they fight in the “PINOY PRIDE XXIV: The Future is Now” on March 1 at the Solaire Resort and Casino.

Servania (23-0, 9 KO’s), who hailed from Brgy. Pta. Taytay in Bacolod, will be challenged by former World Boxing Association (WBA) super flyweight king Alexander “El Explosivo” Muñoz (36-5, 28 KO’s) of Venezuela in the main event, while Bago City-born Villanueva (24-0, 14 KO’s) is set to defend his title against former world title contender and currently world-rated Mexican Juan “Churritos” Hernandez.

The Bacolod champion displayed an impressive performance last year after knocking out Panamanian Rafael Concepcion in two rounds.

On the part of ALA Promotions President and CEO Michael Aldegeuer, Servania’s fight will determine if the Bacolod pride is ready for a world title.

On the other hand, the Bago City champion has a remarkable 2013 when he separately stopped Mexican boxers Arturo Badillo and Edgar Martinez in the early rounds of their matches.
Villanueva’s adversary Hernandez, on the other hand, defeated Filipino minimumweight contender Denver Cuello of Iloilo while won over Moises Fuentes via split decision.

In the undercard, Escalante City’s Melvin Gumban, who is undefeated at 15 wins with 7 KOs, will take Dino Lelis, as Bacolod City’s Royroy Sumugat tries to regain his name when he takes undefeated Mark “Magnifico” Magsayo of Bohol.

Competing the card are: “Prince” Albert Pagara (18-0, 12 KOs) vs. Isack Junior (22-4, 8 KOs) of Indonesia; Vic Saludar vs. Philip Luis Cuerdo (6 rounds); and Reyme Castillano Aleye of Cuba vs Justo Bornilla./WDJ
