The National Bureau of Investigation will soon start accepting applicants for confidential agents.
This was revealed by Lawyer Ferdinand Lavin, agent in charge of the NBI-Bacolod, as he confirmed that President Benigno Aquino III has named Lawyer Nonnatus Rojas as the new director of the country’s premier investigating agency.
According to Lavin, the last time he met with Director Rojas was when he was still assigned in Manila and the latter was still the officer in charge of the bureau.
Lavin said he received information that the regional directors of the agency were recently called for a meeting by Rojas.
The NBI-Bacolod agent in charge said he is expecting to be summoned to the central office, together with other city and provincial agents in charge throughout the country, for a meeting.
He said the usual policy guideline of the bureau is to continue working with your current task unless another order will be issued to you by your superiors.
Lavin added that the acceptance of new confidential agents would probably be tackled once a meeting with the new NBI director takes place.
Confidential agents of NBI were all recalled by the agency after its former director, Lawyer Magtanggol Gatdula, was sacked by President Aquino./WDJ
